Maryam and Dante were married in a classic Boston landmark “that houses all the great love stories”.
Let’s all agree, no introduction needed.
Although I could blab for days about Maryam and Dante’s Boston Public Library wedding, the pictures alone exceed the minimal standard for satisfaction. It’s all just yummy.
When it comes to cities, Eric and I are way more “New York” than “Boston”, not sure why really, probably just because New York is closer we feel much more at home there. However, our little excursion to Boston for Maryam & Dante’s wedding (including a 2-night stay at the luxurious Fairmont Copley Plaza) has made us believers in the Beantown. A wedding in the historic and iconic Boston Public Library, a radical couple, and a super cooperative, chill bridal party may have also had something to do with it.
And here we go, from the top.
We start the day with my coverage of the guys getting ready at Maryam and Dante’s apartment, which was a block away from where Eric was covering the girls in Copley Plaza.
BTW, Maryam and Dante’s adorable little Yorkie almost made it into my camera bag, I’m in love.
After covering the guys, who take about 5 minutes to get ready, I headed back to the Fairmont in Copley Plaza to cover details and the girls getting ready with Eric. If you ever stay in Boston, you gotta stay at this hotel, just sayin’.
And something about this moment that Eric captured of Maryam in the mirror, really gets me. We shoot mirror reflections often during getting ready, but this – through the veil is AMAZE.
And the first look right outside the Fairmont made the perfect backdrop – it is unreal to me how dynamic and inspiring shooting wedding pictures in the city can be. Eye candy overkill.
The ceremony location in the courtyard of the library was jaw dropping, needless to say I learned why the Boston Public Library in Copley Plaza was proclaimed a “palace for the people” when it opened in 1895.
“Are you the last person in New York still taking out library books?” “I love the smell.”
I’ll let you guess that quote…
A break to share the details.
We love seeing old friends at weddings, and it was so great to hang out with our past bride, awesome friend and fellow photog Suzanna Lombardo of Suzanna March Photography. And I had definitely enjoyed watching Suzanna try to figure out my Canon camera to grab this really killer shot of us.
