I mean WOW. I’m just gonna type and sob away over here. Receiving a little note like that is all it takes to rock my consciousness and remind me of the magnitude of our role as photographers on a wedding day. And it is really NOT just about providing jaw dropping images (although we like to do that too), but our presence and energy and attitude has a dramatic impact on one of the biggest days in a families life. We have the ability to contribute a sense of calm and control while emotions are running wild all around us, we can laugh, (shed a few tears too – the first look gets me every time) and reveal our genuine gratitude and happiness.
We have an enormous responsibility.
This is no joke.
This is the best job in the world.

A few favorites from the Waveny House in New Canaan, CT.
The other really cool thing about Elina and Andrew is that they are performers that travel around the world together. Because of their travel schedule, they had to have pretty spontaneous wedding planning – they did not even meet us “in person” before their wedding date (I don’t think skyping from Singapore exactly counts). We were very fortunate to be available a month prior to their date and we are so happy it worked out. They were fantastic to work with, so happy together and…gave us LOTS of picture time (my fave of course, hee hee).
Eric, Brenden and I arrived at The Waveny House Mansion in New Cannan to cover Elina getting dressed prior to the first look. The window light in the bridal suite was just scrumptious and Elina is a truly beautiful bride.

The photos above were shot natural light, at approximately the same time as this next shot. Both very beautiful, but I’m curious which look you prefer?
Andrew and Elina danced together all night, it was like they were the only two in the room. I loved how evident their love for each other was to anyone in their presence. Thank you guys for being so amazing!
Towards the end of the reception nothing could fill our hearts up more besides the opportunity to photograph them together, on their wedding day at Andrew’s sister’s memorial nearby. Super emotional, but such a blessing that we could provide these very special pictures to them and their family.
I’ll say it again.
We have an enormous responsibility.

These are two of the loveliest people I have met. They are genuine and kind and these pictures capture that beautifully. And can I say wow Elina’s dress!!! My favs are the first one and Elina standing alone with the bouquet (sorry Andrew LOL), but really they are all great! Yes they will make a beautiful wedding album!

Amazing photos. And what great performers! You can’t tell on your postures or faces that it’s freezing cold outside and yet, I distinctly remember going outside for about 10 seconds just to run back in to the warmth. I’m so happy I was able to come and join you guys in such a wonderful wedding!
