From Joanne: Every bride’s nightmare is having awful weather on her wedding day. Normally in late October / early November we need to worry about hurricanes in New England. We would never think we need to worry about not just snow, but a full out blizzard! Storm Alfred had his own agenda and made quite the appearance!
The storm hit a week before Katie and Bryant’s November wedding. Streets were covered in feet of fallen sow, snow covered tree branches were snapping and falling all over the place, taking power lines down with them. Enfield, CT was in the dark for over a week. Last minute back up plans were being made for the wedding. Then, as if almost on cue, the lights came on 24 hours before the time Katie was to walk down the aisle. Miraculously, the wedding went on as planned!
Katie and Bryant’s laid back , fun loving attitude made everyone at ease. After all, if this doesn’t rattle the bride, then why should the guests be stressed? It was time to party!
