Mallard Island Yacht Club Wedding in Long Beach Island NJ | Corinne & Matt
Bon Jovi was in full effect. And a fist pump (or two) may have occurred on the dance floor, but clearly Corinne & Matt did not have the typical “Jersey Shore” wedding.
The Mallard Island Yacht Club is a stunning venue, surrounded by Barnegat Bay, and right before the bridge to Long Beach Island on the Jersey Shore. LBI is a favorite family vacation spot of ours, and Corrine & Matt’s wedding day also happened to be our wedding anniversary, so we were absolutely thrilled to be with such a great couple and working together at such an awesome wedding.
Check out some of these favorites from the day…it was nearly impossible to choose.
One insanely awesome perk about traveling for destination weddings is exploring new venues and working with awesome local vendors, and there was some off-the-wall talent that brought Corinne & Matt’s day together beautifully.
A very big shout out to the florists, MDS Floral Design, they are also a part of the Style Me Pretty Little Black Book, and we would be lucky to work with them again, you’ll see, their work speaks for itself. Our apologies to Stephanie Somodi for mistakingly leaving her out of the credits for the gorgeous custom designed wedding invitation chandelier ensemble, as well as they’re hand made Swarovski crystal table cards.

To jump right in…we start off with my coverage of the guys getting ready at The Drifting Sands Resort. Meanwhile, Eric stayed back to cover the girls finishing hair and makeup in the awesome bridal suite – it is the entire top floor of The Mallard Island Yacht Club! And be sure you don’t miss that gorgeous Princess Bed (my favorite) complete with giant chandelier and panoramic ocean views…

I love when our couples get “us”, we are kinda quirky I guess, so when Matt expressed how much he liked (and hoped for a picture with) this flagpole, I knew Eric would be all about it – I think the team effort was a BIG win.
I don’t think there is a guy out there that would not love the “Groom Shack”, another awesome and unique feature of The Mallard Island Yacht Club. I suppose they had to do something for the guys to compete with that epic bridal suite. For us, it was a no brainer to shoot the guys just hanging out in their shack.
The other awesomeness on The Mallard Island Yacht Club property (in itself a damn good reason to have a wedding there) is the “Boat House” ceremony venue. It is surrounded by water on all sides, has huge windows that allow amazing light to pour in, and there is a really great stone fireplace. I was blown away how the space became more and more beautiful as the day progressed while the light flowing through continued to change.
A very good friend of ours, Carla Ten Eyck (who also happens to be a killer photographer), once told me that the moment right before a kiss is where it’s at – and is usually even better than the actual kiss….
I gotta admit, she knows her stuff.

Wow, I am blown away. If I could re-do my wedding (although it’s hard to compete with the ethan allen) I would do it here in a heartbeat. The pictures are beyond cool and beautiful…I agree with Alicia, these deserve to be in a bridal magazine…congrats to the beautiful couple!
