“I am Inspired by Fashion”.

It has become the photographer buzz line lately, I used to say those exact words all the time, well, because it’s true…but then every photographer was using it as their mantra. Needless to say, it has lost the impact it once had. Our style, our photography, WE are hugely inspired by music and fashion, our source for inspiration, our ‘outside the box’ mentality. A fashion-forward, innovative style that just feels right, for US. It is not something that we have become, or have chosen to be, this has always been us. Since I was a teenager, and still to this day, I receive monthly subscriptions to W Magazine, Esquire, Vogue, Glamour, Vanity Fair, GQ, Details, Lucky, Harper’s Bazaar, Marie Claire, Redbook, and Cosmo…I love them and work them to death. The pages, the content, the photography, the clothes, the beauty – the escape. Magazines make me insanely happy. If our clients are anything like me (which they often are), they want their images to look like they are out of a fashion magazine, the lighting, the posing, the editing, the styling & wardrobe is what we really strive for – especially shooting boudoir. Not only does this inspiration begin with us as the photographers, but educating and informing our clients about our vision is really the only way to even get close.

Below is an Esquire video that we share with our boudoir clients once they have booked a session with us, and to this day I have not been able to find better preparation before a boudoir photo shoot. Granted, Kate Beckinsale can be a little intimidating (and distracting), but it is so important to observe how she moves, poses and reacts to the camera. Plus, this video (actually every Esquire video) is the ultimate in lighting, composition and editing – completely sexy, seriously, who wouldn’t want to watch it? It would actually be EPIC if we incorporated video into more of our boudoir photography sessions.

She has a classic look, expression, lingerie and styling. And she took important cues from the Esquire shoot, moving naturally, relaxed expression – oozing sensuality and was clearly able to release her inner temptress. It was so important for me to share these amazing images, because she is knockout, bombshell beautiful, and needless to say, made my job very easy, insanely fun, and I am so happy that she allowed me to share. Thank you Lindsey Gallagher of Like Flutter for Lashes and Stacey Palancia of Blush Couture for the always amazing styling, assisting, and professional hair & makeup that you provide for these sessions. I know that you both agree, getting to turn everyday women into complete bombshells is the best job in the world.
