As photographers (artists, whatever the case may be) it is important to look at the past year objectively, see how you have grown, what you liked, what you didn’t like, and what you are going to do differently to grow and evolve. Let’s be honest, we are our biggest critic, so picking a “best of” is no easy decision, Eric being a complete perfectionist has to pick apart every outstanding image…”well if I just had light right there” or if I asked her to look a little more towards the left”…

Me being the realist, I say “screw that” – these are spectacular, gorgeous, stunning images. The whole concept behind beautiful “Getting Ready” images is that they are “candid, unposed and real” — sometimes that means you are giving very little direction, sometimes you just gotta catch it as it happens…

Regardless of the circumstance, these are our favorite “Getting Ready” images from 2009. More “Best of 2009″ Raw Photo categories will be posted in the upcoming days.
