Wedding Photography at the Waveny House in New Canaan, CT | Chrissy & Paul
It is pretty cool to be wedding photographers of the age that most people (including our friends) are getting married…because (when everything works out) shooting the weddings of our friends totally ROCKS! Chrissy & Paul’s wedding at the Waveny House in New Cannan, CT was a New Fairfield High School reunion for Eric and I – it was so great to see Chrissy on her wedding day, as well as Chrissy’s family and some of the girls in the bridal party that I had not seen in a really long time. You see, there was a time that Chrissy & I were inseparable growing up, and as life happens we went to different states for college, she moved to Los Angeles, and we didn’t get to bump into each other like you often do with those old friends that stay close after college. But leave it to facebook to bring everyone one click away from each other and of course, our totally epic photobooth at the New Fairfield 10-year reunion was all Chrissy needed to invite us to capture her absolutely incredible wedding at the Waveny House. Huge thanks to Nicole Taylor for rocking this one with us!
Like usual…we have to start with a few of our absolute favorites…

The Waveny House is by far one of our most favorite venues to shoot weddings, every corner of the grounds is jam-packed with photo yumminess!

Chrissy was just dying to get dressed and ready at the Waveny but unfortunately her timeline just didn’t lend itself to rushing back and forth between New Canaan and Stamford where the ceremony was held so she got ready at a beautiful suite at the Stamford Marriott.
Is this not the most delicious dress you’ve ever seen?

We love capturing the responses from everyone seeing the bride in her dress!

Chrissy’s dad easily won top-Dad-of-the-year award….we could have photographed his reaction to Chrissy all day long. Here he is accepting a very personal gift from her.

We had a few extra minutes for some bridal portraits before heading to the ceremony BUT had to stay in the hotel room since Paul was getting ready right down the hall – I think we managed to pull off some keepers anyways!

Cermony time in Stamford, CT.

Paul attempts to regain his composure after seeing Chrissy for the first time coming down the aisle….

And of course….the proud look back up at her…such an awesome moment on any wedding day.

Loooove all the emotion from everyone in this shot. Chrissy’s dad handing her off to a very happy husband-to-be.

Yaaay! Now off to the Waveny!

EVERYONE was totally awesome for putting up with the cold weather which is always a bummer about getting married in November. BUT, the BEST part is there is always the most AMAZING light during portrait time at this time of year and we loved every second of it!!

Now it’s time for some alone time with Chrissy and Paul at the Waveny – our favorite time at any wedding!

Chrissy’s bridesmaids were always one step away to help with her dress…

Such a cute moment!

Reception time baby! Loooove the dark wood interior of the Waveny…
This was a traditional Polish wedding dance….and yes…that is Paul pretending to be a bull…

Chrissy’s dance with her dad…

Flower tossing action-

Here’s Chrissy’s make-shift garter coming down inches from Eric’s camera right after Paul threw it!

And of course we need to end with some yummy night-time portrait loveliness on the lawn of the Waveny. Hope you enjoyed South Africa and we miss you already!!

Awesome Awesome Awesome! It was so great to have you at our wedding not only as friends but as our photographer! Thank you so much for capturing our day so magnificently! I can’t wait to see the rest! You rocked! I can’t say it enough..Awesome!!

It’s hard to find knowledgeable people on this topic, but you sound like you know what you’re talking about! You should take part in a contest for one of the best blogs on the web. I will recommend this site!
