Audrey and Todd’s wedding kicked off our wedding double header weekend at the Saybrook Point Inn & Spa. Off we headed to Old Saybrook, kids, nanny, halloween costumes and gear in tow, for one of the best wedding weekends we have ever had. Thank you again to Liz for hooking us up with a fantastic room and excellent service! I have to give a shout out to Stacey Palancia of Blush Couture for Audrey and the girl’s stunning make up.

We started things off with their first look in the park across the street from the Saybrook Point Inn….we hate to get on our soapbox…but those of you that know us, know we get a little obsessed with the first look. Que Eric rolling his eyes…NOW. Anyway, this time was no different, it was sweet, intimate, and perfect – and it allowed us to have lots of time with Audrey & Todd.

After grabbing some shots around the Saybrook Point Inn & Spa, we took a ride for a different perspective and had a great view of Katherine Hepburn’s Fenwick home on the sound. The light was absolutely ROCKIN’!!

Audrey is adorable, from the beginning she was full of personality, and LOVED the camera. But, for a bride, on her wedding day, I have NEVER witnessed such a character. So, she can sing (recorded herself singing “At Last” to surprise Todd for their first dance), she can dance (words don’t do justice, see pictures below), she wears her emotions on her sleeve (can switch from laughing to crying on a dime), and she is so freaking fun. When Eric showed her the image at the top of the post on his LCD, she actually screamed “NO F*ING WAY!!??”…which of course totally made our night!

Time to get married!! The ceremony was also held at the Saybrook Point Inn.

Another reason why this wedding was SICK is because there were surprises around every corner. Audrey’s awesome Dad actually contacted her old dance school and set up a secret performance for Audrey & Todd. The kids performed a tap routine to Thriller and it was a seriously JAW dropping performance!

As I said earlier, Audrey can dance, but…what you don’t understand is that there were full on, choreographed routines starring our beautiful bride. Who can say they have seen a bride do the worm in their dress…I can. Who can say they have seen a bride do a split in their dress…I can. Who can say they have seen a bride pull out “Baby Got Back” moves from 1992 in their dress…I can.

Usually during the reception we grab the couple for 15 minutes to go take a few night shots…it’s kinda become our thing. But…we were all so caught up in the reception that it was over before we knew it, and lucky for us, Audrey and Todd were totally on board for grabbing a few shots afterwards. And you know Eric, he could have stayed out there all night! I guess I don’t blame him.

The nice thing when you are sleeping over at the wedding venue, is that you can kinda relax instead of the usually stressful, long trek home. Audrey and Todd insisted we join them for a cocktail, then they made us come to their room and watch SNL skits on HULU, we still can’t get “I’m on a Boat” out of our heads! Disclaimer: we do not join all of our couples to the honeymoon suite after the wedding…they were just special. Hope you guys love your pics, we had a blast!
