Amy & Edwin :: Wedding at City Hall, Elizabeth Park, & the Riverview in Hartford, CT : Slideshow!

Amy & Edwin planned their wedding day AROUND their pictures… we had enough time to hit Hartford City Hall, Elizabeth Park, Bushnell Park, and the Riverview. Lots of time=lots of rad photos…..they’re already plastered all over my business cards and studio. Yeah, they’re kind of a big deal. Nicole’s the best for shooting with me and big props to Matt Fink for shooting the video.

I love this one so much it’s making another appearance….I might just post it everyday actually.

I’m so proud of myself that I already had this song in my library that Victoria recommended :)

Yes, there are patterns to the songs I choose – they’re somewhere between altered cake recipes and favorite t-shirts. Dependable, delicate, with a good sense of timing, and a few ingredients that vary to turn things up or down, whichever the case may be. And very easy to mess up, should any of those factors come in at the wrong levels. Cue “No One’s Gonna Love You” by Band of Horses: achy but sweet, in love but forlorn, faraway stares with a pile of relationship at your feet. Delivered in one of those singing-in-a-huge-empty-room kind of perfectly echoey ways.

Band of Horses was one of those bands I had heard of but not heard, per se. A clip here and there on the radio, but not much else – until my BFF (the same one who led me on the crusade into unwavering love of all things Death Cab for Cutie) opened up her home and her music library to me. Cut to me laying on the floor with chunky headphones strapped on tight, trying to take it all in. This album, as well as the one before it, is a true slay-your-heartstrings kind of production, full of big-bodied electric guitars, old keyboard setups, and earnest lyrics. And they’ve also managed to put forth one of the best titles ever known to mankind (Everything All the Time), making many of my one-liner “about me” fill-ins easy as pie.

I have no doubt that this song will resonate with you fully, and I’ll bring in more of their bliss with other tracks, and some older My Morning Jacket, as we go along.

Eric I get a little giddy every time I see you using off camera lighting in interesting ways sometimes I feel like I’m the only one who carries the xtra gear with me to get that extra touch! ROCK ON… hot stuff as usual!

WOW!! I have no idea how last month was the first time I ever heard of you or saw your work, but keep it up!

My fiance and I already have an amazing photography team for
our wedding (Jerome and Jennifer) – any way we can add another one haha? Wow we would have two (or more) of the best photographers in the world doing it – now that would be amazing!
