The Branford House on the UCONN campus in Groton, CT was definitely one of the coolest places I have ever seen. It was the first time Amber and I had been to the Branford House and one thing is for sure, we definitely want to go back again! The architecture and property was absolutely breathtaking and we were so fortunate that the time we had set aside to do portraits of Jocelyn and Jay coincided with the craziest and most colorful sunset ever!
Jocelyn and Jay could not have been a more incredible couple when it came time to do their portraits – they were up for anything and everything! As we were walking from the front of the Branford House to the back we came across this amazing corner of the building that we HAD to shoot against! I can’t get enough of how awesome the sky looks against the gothic-style architecture of the Branford House!

Although Jocelyn wished she could have worn her Louboutin’s that Jay surprised her with before the wedding her orange heels were just as RAD and totally matched her bouquet!!

Some getting ready and details photographs….

There were 10 bridesmaids, 1 mom, 1 bride, 2 videographers, and 2 photographers in the small hotel room where Jocelyn got ready…..let’s just say we all knew each other a lot better after those few hours!!

Note from Jay

Jocelyn’s dad seeing her for the first time

Off to the ceremony in New London….one of my favorite times of any wedding. The look on the groom’s face when he sees his bride!

It was so windy at the Branford House so I told Jocelyn to let her long cathedral veil blow in the wind and then try to grab it – love it!!

They got mad friends

Ahhh!! Sickest sunset at the Branford House ever!!

Ok…so now the fun starts. There’s this band and they’re quite possibly the most incredible band you could book for your wedding…THE ZOO! I think that was the first thing Jocelyn and Jay said to me when we met for the first time. “We booked the Zoo, it’s going to be crazy!!”

Let’s just say that ‘crazy’ was an understatement…honestly, I’ve never seen a more insane reception ever!!

Jocelyn’s dad/rockstar.

It’s Athena & Jeff!!!

A couple more of my faves outside the Branford House! love.this.place
