the offseason: volume 2

Volume 2 of our series of offseason shoots includes some product/advertising shots I did for a company that designs promotional merchandise for Newman’s Own.  I’m by no means an advertising photographer but at least it pays some bills!

Only 3 days left you slackers!

Ok, you slackers.  There’s only 3 days left to purchase prints of your 2007 shoot from the print room.  Time to clear things out to make way for a (hopefully) busy 2008.  Out with the old, in with the new – know what I’m sayin’?  All of the 2007 shoots will be cleared out on March 1st to free-up precious server space…..unless…..I was a total slacker and you just got your pictures from 2007.  But I don’t think that’s the case with most of you.  That’s it for now.

Oh, and since I hate a post without any pictures, videos, or something remotely entertaining here’s a pic from a shoot I’m editing right now. Can anyone guess who this is? The first person to guess gets $1,000,000.

the offseason: volume 1

It’s no secret that people like to get married when it’s warm.  Being a wedding photographer in Connecticut means a lot of cold months during the winter….so…..no weddings for me.  Until couples start flying me around the world to document their destination weddings (a man can dream, can’t he?) there’s going to be an offseason for me.  So, to keep people interested in this blog I’m going to have a series of posts related to the work I do in the offseason.  I’ll also post some shoots I did before I started this blog.  So….keep visiting!

Volume 1 of the offseason is a cool little studio shoot I did for a singer/song-writer duo named “Ashes of Draught.”  They’re currently finishing up their new album and I was lucky enough to hear some pre-release tracks…..it’s incredible.  I’ll keep you guys updated on the release date.  In the meantime, here are some pics.

Surprisingly, recording an album is painstaking work.  They worked on one verse the whole 3 hours I was there.

 That’s it for now.  Cheers.
