I had such an awesome time photographing these guys! The kids were all about tying in their respective sports into the family shoot for some “killer pose” shots with all kinds of yummy flash goodness. We shot mostly in the comfort of the backyard at their beautiful Fairfield home and mixed it up a bit with a quick trip down to the beach for some fun shots in the water. Enjoy guys!

Drunk babies are my FAVORITE!
So….I roll up to a park in Bethel on a cloudy morning expecting to shoot a standard maternity session for a couple expecting their first baby. And the following conversation ensues:
Jumaane: Actually, I was hoping we can do a couple quick headshots for me as well….I’m a musician.
Me: Ok, sure, we can do that. Just a few quick ones for your website or something?
Jumaane: Yeah, and for a few magazines.
Me: Magazines? Really? What type of musician are you?
Jumaane: I play trumpet.
Me: Oh…are you in a wedding band or something? Or do you have your own thing going?
Jumaane: I’m in a band…and have my own thing.
Me: (As I’m scoping out a field to do some super-quick headshots before starting their maternity session.) What’s the name of your band?
Jumaane: I play for a guy called Michael Buble.
Me: Umm….what?
Jumaane: You’ve heard of him?
Me: DUH!!!! So, let me get this straight. You want me to do a quick headshot for you so you can give it to Michael Buble for editorial purposes?
Jumaane: Yeah. We’re leaving for our European tour next week.
Needless to say I was a bit taken back and of course I would have planned something ridiculously amazing for my man Jumaane (but mostly to hopefully impress Buble!!). But, we went with the Bethel park and this is what we came up with in the 10 minutes we spent on the photos. What do you guys think??!! Hopefully it’s still something ridiculously amazing!
