We thought we would kick off the 2010 wedding season with a bang (caribbean water & lots of sun doesn’t hurt either), so the opportunity to photograph a destination wedding in Turks & Caicos early in the season was a dream come true! What can I say…obviously, shooting Kimberley & Sebastian’s wedding in Providenciales in the Turks & Caicos Islands was absolutely incredible and we can’t thank them enough for inviting us. Eric and I had such an amazing time with these two, getting to know their family (who greeted us with open arms), and exploring Providenciales the day after the wedding to find hidden spots for a mind-blowing trash the dress session! A huge thanks to Kimberley, Sebastian, and their whole family for such an amazing experience.
Both Kimberley & Sebastian got ready at the Ocean Club Resort on the south side of Providenciales.

The ceremony was a romantic, intimate gathering on the breath-taking Grace Bay Beach. Love the look on Sebstian’s face after seeing Kimberley walking down the beach.

Eric said this is his most-favoritest-amazingest photo that I grabbed of Kimberley and her mother after the ceremony!

After Kimberley & Sebastian’s gorgeous ceremony on the beach, friends & family headed to Opus Wine Bar & Grill. Anthony and his staff at Opus prepared outstanding local seafood and hosted a really amazing reception!

As mentioned, the next day we got up early and conquered the island for Kimberley & Sebastian’s trash the dress shoot. I don’t know about you, but when I travel…I eat! One thing I could not get enough of in Turks & Caicos was the Conch! It is tender like calamari, and prepared in a ton of ways (my favorite was the Conch salad which is like ceviche, citrusy and fresh — but we also LOVED the Conch fritters…best prepared at the road-side stands with a cold Turks Head Lager). We could not resist grabbing some shots at ‘Da Conch Shack, the colors and textures were unbelievable and the conch guys were more than willing to be in a few shots while hard at work early in the morning.

We did not leave a rock unturned, or beach unexplored on this trip…that’s what you do when you are on a 38 square mile island for 8 days. Our favorite beach was Taylor Bay, so it seemed the ideal location to get Kimberly (and her dress) in the water. The sand was so soft and white, the water was knee deep for 50 feet, and the water was warm and crystal clear…oh yeah, and there was barely a soul in sight. If I close my eyes really tight I can still pretend I am there…sigh.
